National Assessment of Vocational Education
The objective of this contract was to supply a research and production team to provide technical assistance to the National Assessment of Vocational Education (NAVE). NAVE described and evaluated a variety of important aspects of vocational education at the secondary and postsecondary levels. An Interim Report to Congress, Final Report to Congress, and forty contributory reports were prepared by National Education Research Centers and reviewed by NAVE staff, the NAVE Advisory Panel, external academic reviewers, and OERI Leadership.

Conwal provided all the necessary qualified personnel and resources to carry out the following technical assistance activities for NAVE staff: (1) review of all reports for consistency, content, and accuracy (including tabular material); (2) synthesis of all reviewer comments; (3) preparation of a master copy and summary memorandum for each contributory report; (4) literature reviews and information retrieval as necessary; (5) editing and organization of interim and final reports; and (6) production of camera-ready text for the interim and final reports.

To support NAVE staff, Conwal used a team of research, editing, and desktop publishing professionals to complete the following tasks:

• Synthesis of reviews
• Editorial reviews
• Literature reviews
• General information collection
• Interim reports
• Final report
• Monthly progress reports.
